this past Fall and many kids came to know Jesus and leaders were trained to teach the kids!Until 2 years ago the church in Lithuania did NOT believe that kids could decide to live for Jesus. They would send their kids outside to play during church services until they were older. These kids didn't have anything like GOkids because the adults didn't think that the kids could make a decision to live for Jesus so the adults thought the kids didn't need to know about Jesus.

Suicide is a term used when people take their own life or kill them self. Lithuania has the highest suicide rate in all of the world. The biggest percent of people who commit suicide are between the ages of 8 and 12! There is so much pressure on the kids. If they do not get an A+ in school, the kids are often beaten by drunken parents and sometimes turned away to the streets. Since the kids did not have a place to go for love and support from the church they did not have HOPE.

I was thrilled to hear about Pastor Randy and some other children's pastors went to Lithuania to tell these kids about Jesus and bring them HOPE. I was even more thrilled to hear that they took time to train leaders to teach the kids of Lithuania about Jesus. Pastor Randy's team set up kids ministries in several spots so that kids have a place like GOkids to be loved, encouraged and receive HOPE!

Pray...Give...Go
1. Pray for the church leaders and kids in Lithuania that they will continue to grow in their knowledge of God's word.
Pray for the kids who have not YET heard the HOPE of Jesus.
Pray for creative ideas for the church to reach the hurting.
2. Give money to BGMC
As you pray ask God, "How much should I give?"
Remember the story Pastor Randy told about the boy who gave his $150 of his birthday money because he had everything he already needed or the other boy who raised $1000 for kids overseas? YOU can give too!!!
3. Go and tell your friends about the HOPE you have in Jesus!!!
