This past week we talked about a young ruler who had everything he could possibly EVER want. (Mark 10:17-22) He asked Jesus how he could go to heaven and experience eternal life. Jesus first reminded him of the 10 Commandments. The young man said that he had kept all of those since he was a little boy. Then Jesus said, "One thing you are missing. Go sell everything you own...give it to the poor and you will have treasure in heaven. Then follow me." Jesus was testing the young man to see what meant more to him in life. Things and interests are not bad until they become more important to us than Jesus. The young man had his priorities mixed up. Jesus should always be first!
Jesus...then family...then church...then friends...then video games...ect.
This week ask God to help you get your priorities in line!!! Make a priority list and try to stick to it!
Sometimes it goes against what we want at first when we stick to our priorities...it is not always the easiest...but God has great rewards for those who put Him first. He gave us all we have in the first place!
Only God is worthy of my Worship!
memory verse: "All honor and glory to God forever and ever! He is the eternal King, the unseen one who never dies; he alone is God. Amen." (NLT) 1 Timothy 1:17
Haiti
When I was 15 my family started to work in the country of Haiti. My parents still partner with alot of work there and we have several loved ones in the country. I would like to share a few pictures of a couple of my dear ones.
John and Ruth Dieubon and their kids (from the orphanage) on the day of their wedding this past June.

My Mom and Dad (Carli and Leonard) standing proudly with their Haitian son and new daughter-in-law.
January 13...last Wednesday...I recieved a phone call from my mom that said there had been a horrible earthquake in Haiti and many were dead but we didn't know any other information...We prayed. Later we found out there were several other earthquakes and areas affected. I think anyone who turned on the news was immediately alarmed and desired to help in some way.
I prayed Wednesday night before church..."God I know it seems impossible that out of all of the millions of people in Haiti that John could appear on t.v. butcould you just put him on the news so that we know he is ok?"
During church my mom called to tell me they saw John's rescue mobile (Project Papillon) on the news!!!

One by one we have heard from everyone of the pastors, missionaries and loved ones that we have worked with and heard how God kept them safe...

However there are many others who have gotten hurt or even died. The ones who are living do not have much food and water if any and have lost all of their possessions.
There are many places you can give to help the Haitians!
